My friend almost bought one of the make.do.studio cave baskets when we were shopping at City Bird last fall. They are so textural and would be perfect for holding fruit or decorative items. Then, when I was shopping for a Christmas gift for the aforementioned friend I found their shop at Rust Belt Market and fell in love with these tiny dishes. They are made to be mixed and matched and stacked like those cool cairns you find on Mackinac Island or along any Michigan coastline. I got to pick out which dishes I wanted and they are all so unique and beautiful. They look gorgeous when they are stacked, too.
The artist, Katie, wasn't in the day I was shopping but her boyfriend was manning the shop and was so great at helping me pick out the perfect stack.
Here's a little cairn I have in my house made with rocks I brought home from a kayak trip to Turnip Rock.
